My Grandma's a Ninja by Todd Tarpley

My Grandma's a NinjaMy Grandma's a Ninja by Todd Tarpley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was cute! I had my big kids read it to the baby tonight, and it was a big hit all around! It's a picture book, so it's definitely more for the younger crowd, but it has ninja grammas, zip lines, and a pirate. What more could you ask for?

I'm going to have them review it ;)

Kids' Review:

Son: This was funny. I liked it when the crossing guards' clothes blew off! Is Gramma a ninja?

Me: Your gramma? Ha! no.

Son: Oh man, that would be cool. Oh well.

Daughter: This is for maybe first graders, so I'm too old for it.

Me: But did you like it?

Daughter: Yeah, it was funny, but it was cute for the baby.

Me: So should I read it again?

All: Yeah!

I like picture books. This one rhymes and the pictures are really pretty. It was nice to hear at bedtime.

Review: Oh the Things My Mom Will Do by Marianne Richmond

Oh, the Things My Mom Will Do by Marianne Richmond
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

My mom liked this book. It didn’t seem to be for little kids. It was meant for moms. Like maybe I would buy it for my mom on Mother’s Day. It told about the life of a mom who does everything for you if you’re a little kid.

The mom does a lot. She takes care of the hamster when it’s sick, and I know my mom took care of my cat when he was really sick, so I know it’s stuff moms do, but it’s not fun to read.

I think the pictures were for grown ups too. I liked it, but I don’t like it a lot and I don’t want to read it again.

Book Review of Carrot by Vanita Oelschlager

A Review by KK

blurb:
An ordinary house cat, Carrot envies the life of the pampered yacht cat Buffy and dreams of all she could do with such luxury, but comes to realize that her life is actually richer in many ways.

I love Carrot. it is a cute book. It should be a library book so other people can enjoy it. And if people enjoy it you could make it a book to buy at the store. I enjoy the whole book. I like that the pics are beautiful.                                                         Thank you Vanita  Oelschlager
